Heather Cooper – Attorney
As an attorney, I handle every matter with a commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and high ethical standards. I pride myself on being organized and detail-oriented, as I know both efficiency and accuracy are key in achieving positive results for my clients. Legal challenges often have an emotional or personal dimension, so in addition to being solution-driven, I approach all client interactions with a sense of empathy and compassion. I believe my dedication to the values of honesty, dependability, and loyalty, and my client-focused approach, are the foundation for my strong, enduring client relationships.
Originally from Syracuse, N.Y., I attended the State University of New York at Fredonia, where I was a collegiate volleyball athlete, and graduated with my B.A. in English. I then attended Syracuse University College of Law where I had the opportunity to complete internships in new cities like Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, N.C. After graduating, I was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar, and shortly thereafter, I moved to Charlotte, N.C. In January 2021, I joined the McMillan team and relocated to Charleston, S.C. to assist in opening the firm’s new office there. I was subsequently admitted to the South Carolina Bar.
In May of 2024, I moved to Pittsburgh, P.A. with my partner, John, an active-duty member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Outside of work, you’ll find me coaching middle school volleyball, playing volleyball, attending sports events, exploring Pittsburgh, and spending time with John and our two lively pups, Norman and Casper.
