I have travelled a long twisting road to my role as a title researching paralegal. My specialty revolves around competent research for commercial transactions to ensure that the property you want is the property you are getting. Prior to my time with our firm, I spent 6 years performing my research as a freelance paralegal, but that put me in the best position to know which firm I would appreciate working for the most, having competent and reliable attorneys to turn my research over to.
I spent my time after attending NC State racing sailboats up and down the east coast and ultimately moving to the San Francisco bay area to continue my sailing “career”. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of money to raise a family in sailing. After my son was born, I moved back to Charlotte to be closer to family, and I was in sales for many years. I enjoyed being a sales rep for a local brewery at the beginning of the craft beer boom. Nearing the end of my time with the brewery, I was offered an opportunity to learn title searching from one of the best paralegals in the area and quickly realized that I really enjoyed the work. As a Charlotte native, I love knowing that I am involved in the shaping of the area, as well as the rest of the state. It is a great feeling driving by a development and knowing that I had a hand in setting up the completion of someone else’s idea or dream.
